Maria Dubinsky, voice
Born in Moscow, Maria Dubinsky immigrated to Israel in 1990, where she graduated from the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem with a degree in Vocal Performance.
Ms. Dubinsky participated in numerous opera productions of the New Israeli Opera, as well as in a large variety of concerts, recitals, oratorio, chamber music, and opera projects in Israel and
abroad. Maria has performed in major festivals in Israel and Europe including: International Jihlava Music Festival, Kol Ha-Musica Ba-Galil Ha-Elyon, the Abu-Gosh festival, Eilat chamber Festival and Montreal Jewish Music Festival.
Maria appeared as a soloist with such orchestras and ensembles as Simphonetta Beer-Sheva, Ashdod Orchestra, Ashkelon orchestra, Trio Dolce, Bacchanalia Festival Orchestra, Virtuoso Soloists of New York, the Three Sopranos, ensemble Nitzanim and more. Maria regularly appears at Sidney Krum Concert Series at YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in NY, she was featured at the New Voices of the Yiddish Theater concert tour, opening events and concerts of Limmud FSU and other community events.
Maria has been the recipient of such scholarships and awards, as: America Israel Cultural Foundation, Israel Vocal Arts Institute Foundation (IVAI), the Rubin Academy in Jerusalem awards in Chamber music and Baroque competitions. In 2010 Ms. Dubinsky was ordained as Cantor by the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion with a Master of Sacred Music.
Throughout her cantorial career, she served at such congregations as the Union Temple of Brooklyn, North Shore Synagogue of Syosset, NY and Temple Shaaray Tefila in NYC. Currently Ms. Dubinsky is serving as a Cantor at Temple Avodat Shalom in River Edge, NJ.
